The Keansburg community is coming together to support Charles "Buddy" Reeves, a.k.a. the G Man who has been collecting garbage in the town for 44 years.
He recently suffered a medical emergency while working, according to a GoFundMe set up to support Reeves while he recovers from a brain mass. As of Thursday, Dec. 14, more than $1,300 has been raised.

William "Bart" Trachin has died two years after an attack that left him seriously injured and his mother dead, according to his community.
The Washington Borough man was 53 years old when he and his mother, 84-year-old Elaine Trachin, were attacked at their home in Washington Borough (Warren County), in 2021, as Daily Voice reported.

To many of those in North Jersey, Maria V. Mallozzi was “the cookie lady,” her family says.
That’s because, for 18 years, customers could count on seeing her cheerful smile behind the counter at Angelo’s Bakery in Newton, which her family owned until late 1996. In her younger years, she worked at and lived above an older family business, Vitiello’s Bakery in Newark, her obituary says.
Tragically, Maria died in the explosion at her home on Dove Island Road in Stillwater Township just after 7 a.m. on Sunday, July 16, her 95th birthday.

Community Rallies Around Families Of Newark Firefighters Killed
Newark firefighters Augusto "Augie" Acabou and Wayne "Bear" Brooks made the ultimate sacrifice when they were killed battling a massive ship fire at Port Newark on Wednesday, July 5.
Now, the community wants to give back. A fundraiser was created by the Newark Firefighters Union to assist the families of the two men killed. As of Monday, July 10, more than $104,000 has been raised.

David's mom, Jaclyn Aochoa, died on May 18, 2023. His dad, David Aochoa, died in 2019.

A Bound Brook family lost everything when their home went up in flames, and the community is now rallying to help.
Firefighters responded to the Trupkiewicz family's Mountain Avenue home on March 19, where the fire reached three alarms, according to the local fire station and a GoFundMe campaign launched by relatives.
Annie Kielblock organized the campaign on behalf of her sister, Alyssa, and brother-in-law, Michael Trupkiewicz. The pair and their four children, Lucca, 11; Charlie, 8; Mikey, 2; and Ellowyn, 6 months, have been displaced.

North Jersey Firefighter Jordan Darley Dies Suddenly Leaving Behind Wife, New Baby
Support was surging for the wife and child of Passaic firefighter Jordan Darley who died suddenly in November 2022.
Darley, 40, died on Nov. 12 after going into cardiac arrest, according to a GoFundMe page launched for his wife, Lucia, and baby, Jordan.
The Bloomfield resident owned his own HVAC company in Nutley, and was proud to have become a firefighter, accomplishing a lifelong dream, his obituary says.
