Newark Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash Saturday
A 36-year-old Newark man died after he was thrown from his motorcycle in a collision with another vehicle in Yonkers, N.Y., over the weekend, authorities said. Juan A. Rosario-Tiburcio died during the overnight hours early Saturday on southbound I-87. He was riding his 2015 BMW motorcycle at a high rate of speed in the center lane when he collided with a Volkswagen Jetta that was changing lanes ahead of him, said New York State Police Trooper Tara L. Haworth police charged an Uber driver with weapons offenses after finding a BB gun that resembled the real thing in her car, authorities said Friday. Officer Kevin McKeary stopped a car driven by 23-year-old Karleen C. Rodriguez of Yonkers on Schraalenburgh Road for several motor vehicle violations, Detective Sgt. Justin Fox said. A federal judge sent an ex-con back to prison for more than six years Tuesday after she convicted him of carrying a gun in the city of Passaic. Because there's no parole in the federal prison system, 29-year-old Francisco Vallejo of Yonkers must serve the entire six years and four months for being a (three-time) convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
