Bergen Mechanic, 63, Charged With Collecting Child Porn
A 63-year-old mechanic from River Vale was arrested Thursday on child porn charges, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella confirmed. John DeFilippo was taken into custody by members of the prosecutor’s Cyber Crimes Unit during a June 8 raid at his Westwood Avenue home, Musella said. The investigators had found that DeFilippo “used the Internet to view, download, and possess items depicting nude and/or sexually explicit prepubescent children,” the prosecutor said. Police Investigate River Vale Teen's Report Of Driver Saying Something To Her
A 13-year-old River Vale girl’s report of an encounter with a strange driver Friday afternoon didn’t appear related to a troubling incident in neighboring Hillsdale, authorities said. The investigation was still in its early stages, but police said the apparently 40-something driver on Friday apparently shouted something to the girl on Westwood Avenue. Car Slams Into River Vale Dry Cleaners
A car plowed into a River Vale dry cleaners Friday morning. The crash occurred at Vale Cleaners, between M&T Bank and Dunkin Donuts, in a shopping center on Westwood Avenue.
