Boy Crossing Street Hospitalized In Teaneck Hit-Run The driver of a car that hit a young teen Friday night in Teaneck took off, said police who were searching for the vehicle. The 14-year-old boy was crossing Fycke Lane and Teaneck Road when he was struck shortly before 6 p.m., police said. He told officers he was hit by a newer-model black car driven by a woman that had turned right from Fyckle Lane and continued north on Teaneck Road. Suspected Medical Emergency Sends SUV Into Teaneck Utility Pole TEANECK, N.J. -- Responders believe a driver suffered a medical emergency before her SUV slammed into a utility pole Thursday afternoon in Teaneck, shattering it and downing a transformer and various wires. Teaneck police, firefighters and EMS responded to the 2:15 p.m. crash on East Lawn Drive, which knocked out power to more than 135 area customers, according to a PSE&G outage map.
