Boy Crossing Street Hospitalized In Teaneck Hit-Run The driver of a car that hit a young teen Friday night in Teaneck took off, said police who were searching for the vehicle. The 14-year-old boy was crossing Fycke Lane and Teaneck Road when he was struck shortly before 6 p.m., police said. He told officers he was hit by a newer-model black car driven by a woman that had turned right from Fyckle Lane and continued north on Teaneck Road. The boy was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with injuries that police said were non-critical. His father said the youngster was home Saturday. Dad Charged With Assault On Twin Babies From Teaneck; One In Critical Condition A Bronx man has been charged with assaulting his twin infant children, leaving one of them in critical condition, the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office and Teaneck police said.  Authorities began investigating Wednesday, when the infants' mother brought them to Hackensack University Medical Center because one of the children did not appear to be responsive. The babies had both suffered fractures and head trauma. Suspected Medical Emergency Sends SUV Into Teaneck Utility Pole TEANECK, N.J. -- Responders believe a driver suffered a medical emergency before her SUV slammed into a utility pole Thursday afternoon in Teaneck, shattering it and downing a transformer and various wires. Teaneck police, firefighters and EMS responded to the 2:15 p.m. crash on East Lawn Drive, which knocked out power to more than 135 area customers, according to a PSE&G outage map. The injured female driver was taken to nearby Holy Name Medical Center. Boyd A. Loving contributed to this account.
