Attempted Burglary Prompts Warning From Police In Bergen County Town
Police are urging residents in Washington Township (Bergen County) to stay vigilant following an attempted burglary on the west side of town, officials said. The incident occurred around 8:47 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2024, when patrol units were dispatched to a home after the homeowner reported suspicious activity captured on their security camera system, police said in a news release. Five burglars are in custody after a pursuit from Franklin Lakes into Wyckoff, which resulted in the vehicle overturning early Saturday, Aug. 24, authorities said. A Birch Road resident called 911 reporting two people inside her home, Franklin Lakes Police Capt. Robert Grassi said.
