Train Operator Dead, 23 Passengers Hurt In NJ Transit Crash With Tree
A train operator was killed and multiple others hurt after a tree fell on an NJ Transit train Monday morning, Oct. 14 in Burlington County. The incident happened around 6 a.m. on the River LINE train, which had been heading north from Trenton when it struck a tree south of the Roebling Station in Mansfield Township, an NJ Transit spokesperson said. Pedestrian Killed By Train In Union County, Delays Reported
Delays were reported on NJ Transit's Raritan Valley Line Sunday morning, March 26 due to a pedestrian having been fatally struck. The RVL train 5515, which left Newark Penn Station just before 9:40 a.m., struck the pedestrian around 9:50 a.m. on Galloping Hill Road near the Roselle Park station, NJT officials said. Man Struck, Killed By Train Near Union Station
A man was struck and killed by a train in Union Monday afternoon, NJ Transit officials said. The unidentified man was struck by Raritan Valley Line train 5179 near Union Station around 3:05 p.m., NJ Transit Spokeswoman Nancy Snyder said. The train left Penn Station New York at 2:39 p.m. and was scheduled to arrive at High Bridge Station at 4:30 p.m.. None of the approximately 75 customers or the crew on board the train were injured.
