Community Rallies For Wayne Boy, 5, With Cerebral Palsy At 6 months old, Troy from Wayne was diagnosed with spastic quadriplegia -- a form of cerebral palsy. Troy is now 5 and completely dependent on a feeding tube, is non-verbal and unable to walk. Earlier this month, he underwent a 5.5-hour double hip surgery and a bilateral hell cord lengthening, hamstrings lengthening and open abductors lengthening. Both of his legs are in a cast with a bar in place that keeps the legs in abducted position.  He will remain this way for up to seven weeks and will require around-the-clock care.
