Two men have been arrested while one remains at large after fleeing from a stolen BMW that they crashed during a pursuit in Paramus , authorities said. Paramus Office Slavko Bajovic spotted a white BMW X4 driving carelessly along Route 17 north near Midland Avenue around 8:25 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, Paramus Police Chief Robert Guidetti said. In nothing short of a miracle, no serious injuries were reported after a gas tanker truck exploded into a huge fireball on Route 17 Monday morning. A used car dealership and many of its two dozen or so vehicles were destroyed in the five-alarm blaze after the truck and a passenger vehicle collided near the U-turn at the White Castle on the highway's southbound side in Hasbrouck Heights at 5:43 a.m. Jan. 8. All signs point to the death of a 56-year-old guest at a Holiday Inn off Route 17 as the result of a medical emergency, possibly a heart attack. But it’s not official yet.
