Teterboro Airport Noise Persists: Newly-Formed Group Pushes FAA For Alternate Flight Path
Residents who live near Teterboro Airport have had enough with the noise.
More than 840 people in the Pascack Valley region, who have formed the group Taxpayers for Airport Noise Solutions, have signed a petition requesting the FAA to change the flight plans for flights into Teterboro Airport Runway 19, by having them fly over Route 17.

The owner of a luxury SUV that was stolen from a train station in Fairfield County, CT in 2016 likely thought he'd never see it again.
Fate intervened, however -- or, rather, the Saddle River Police Department.
Officers Greg Bulick and Det. Michael Cooper stopped the 2015 Land Rover on northbound Route 17 for having tinted windows, among other violations, Police Chief Jason Cosgriff said.
They quickly noticed some inconsistencies, he said.
The vehicle had a temporary Georgia license plate for a 2019 Range Rover, for one thing, the chief said Wednesday, Aug. 30.

Fleeing Driver Nabbed After Crashing Off Route 17: Saddle River PD
A driver from Rockland County who sped off from a Route 17 stop and crashed moments later was captured on foot miles away, Saddle River police said.
John N. Papain, 37, of Suffern, was pulled over on the northbound highway shortly after 1:30 a.m. Monday, July 17, Saddle River Police Chief Jason Cosgriff said.
Papain was speaking with the officers on the side of the road when he suddenly hit the gas of his 2009 Ford Escape and sped off, the chief said.
Rather than pursue him, the officers watched as Papain turned onto Plesant Avenue, then followed him, Cosgriff said.
