Bergen County Dad Spends Months Setting Up Next-Level Halloween Display Halloween 2016 was a disappointing one for the Maltin family. The family had just moved into their beautiful new home at 249 West End Ave., in Ridgewood, and barely had any trick-or-treaters. In an effort to "drum up some spirit," the family's patriarch Peter Maltin decided to get creative. He started by sitting on the porch and scaring people. Summer Fun: State Fair Meadowlands Returns Racing pigs. Water gun races. A magician. It's about to be state fair season in North Jersey.  The State Fair Meadowlands is returning for another year, kicking off June 22 and running through July 9.  This year, the fair is offering attractions like Pirates of the Colombian Caribbean, Cycle Circus, racing pigs and a magician.
