He died suddenly earlier this month, leaving his loved ones to cope with sorrow and uncertainty.  Family friends are determined, however, to help his wife Maria and children stay on track with their futures and education. More than $12,000 had been raised as of Wednesday afternoon on a GoFundMe for the family.
