New Jersey State Police summoned a medical chopper following the crash on the southbound parkway at mile marker 166.8 Pascack Valley Toll Plaza in Washington Township shortly after 5 p.m. Given the severity of the injuries, they opted to have the unconscious, unresponsive victim taken by ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center. NY Motorcyclist Clings To Life Following Route 80 Crash UPDATE: A motorcyclist remained in critical condition Tuesday following a weekend crash on Route 80 in Hackensack, authorities said. Michael Barot, 41, of the Ridgewood section of Queens was headed east in the highway's local lanes when his Yamaha collided with a Mini Cooper between the Green and Hudson street exits shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday, New Jersey State Police Trooper Charles Marchan said. Njsp: 3 Teens Airlifted, 2 Hurt In Warren County Crash On Street Called 'Shades Of Death Road' Five people including a Hackettstown man were hospitalized in a one-car Warren County crash early Monday morning, authorities said. Anatoli Chigai, 18, of Hackettstown, was behind the wheel of a BMW sedan with four passengers between ages 14 and 16 when the car veered off Shades of Death Road and struck a tree around 1:20 a.m., New Jersey State Police Trooper Alejandro Goez said. Chigai, along with two other male teens ages 15 and 16, were flown to Morristown Medical Center with serious injuries, and the other passengers were hospitalized with moderate injuries, Goez said.
