A 62-year-old Passaic County man was killed in a crash on the NJ Turnpike Saturday, March 18, authorities said. Scott Locicero was heading north on the outer roadway in a Chevrolet Silverado, when he struck the left guardrail, traveled across the lanes, and struck the right concrete barrier around 7:05 p.m. in Milltown, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Two Dead In Christmas Crash On NJ Turnpike
A pair of young men were killed in a crash on the NJ Turnpike early Christmas morning, authorities said. Pedro Morales Roias, 28, and Rolando Perez Aragon, 21, both of Bridgeton, were killed when the car they were passengers in tried changing into the lane of a tractor trailer that was trying to pass them on the northbound side in Westampton around 5:15 a.m., New Jersey State Police said. The car's driver, a 30-year-old Bridgeton man, was seriously injured while the truck driver, a 34-year-old Florida man, had minor injuries, police said. The crash remains under investigation.

A car carrier that burst into flames jammed the NJ Turnpike Tuesday, Nov. 8 in Essex County. Three Cadillac Escalades, a Cadillac XT6 and a Chevy Equinox were damaged in the blaze in the right shoulder of the northbound side of the eastern spur near milepost 107.5 around 12:30 p.m., New Jersey State Police said. A 32-year-old man died in a crash on the NJ Turnpike early Wednesday in Union County. An International tractor trailer and a Hino box truck were heading north in the truck late when the truck struck the back of the trailer at milepost 101.9 around 6:55 a.m., New Jersey State Police spokeswoman Brandi Slota said.
