Road-Raging Driver, 20, Pulls Knife On 73-Year-Old Motorist In Midland Park: Police A 20-year-old driver was arrested after pulling a knife on a 73-year-old motorist during a road rage incident in Midland Park, authorities said. Police responding to the call stopped a Volkswagen at Mohawk Avenue and North 17th Street in Hawthorne and arrested Anthony Polnarev of Wyckoff around 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28. Polnarev and the alleged victim, also of Wyckoff, apparently both got out of their vehicles five miles up the road, in the area of Sicomac Avenue and Faner Road at the Wyckoff border, responders said. Head-On Crash: Utility Pole Snapped, Transformer Lands In Truck And Driver's OK In Fair Lawn A driver somehow escaped serious injury in Fair Lawn on Thursday when his box truck skimmed a tree, bowled over four street signs and slammed flush into a utility pole, snapping it clean in half. Not only did the upper section of the streetlight pole land on top of the truck in the collision on Lincoln Avenue near Loretto Avenue around 1:30 p.m. July 27. Mini School Bus, SUV Collide In Ridgewood PHOTOS: Two teens and their minibus driver emerged unscathed from a crash in Ridgewood. The school bus was en route from Midland Park to Paramus when it collided with a BMW SUV and ended up on the sidewalk at the corner of Northern Parkway and East Glen Avenue around 11:40 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25. Ridgewood police and firefighters responded, as both boys and their driver watched from across the street. The BMW driver also checked out OK and no medics were called.
