Newly released bodycam footage shows the arrest of an intoxicated driver who sent his brand-new pickup truck into the side of a Hackensack McDonald's on Tuesday, Dec. 31.
The footage, released by Transparency Bodycam on Sunday, Jan. 19, Christian Andia, 37, of Teaneck, being pulled from his 2025 Dodge Ram, which was lodged in the side of the River Street establishment.

Federal authorities have moved to take custody of a Bergen County Jail inmate charged with stealing $30,000 from a man he bashed in the head with a baseball bat outside a Little Ferry business.
Jose Mejia, a 32-year-old Salvadoran national, was wanted for a Dec. 28 robbery in a parking lot just off Route 46 and Liberty Street.

In back-to-back accidents, a 65-year-old employee at the McDonald's in River Edge was struck crossing a busy nearby intersection Wednesday night, moments before a school bus crashed in front of the fast-food place, authorities said.
The pedestrian, who lives in Hackensack, went in and out of consciousness after she was struck outside the Green Papaya restaurant at the corner of Kinderkamack and Grand avenues shortly after sunset on Jan. 10, River Edge Police Chief Michael Walker said.

Daniel S. Dietrich, 45, of Palmyra, New Jersey, was arrested Friday, March 10, and charged with homicide, driving on a suspended license, and related counts, said Bucks District Attorney Matthew Weintraub.

Homeless Ex-Con Charged With Assaulting McDonald's Worker In Englewood Over A Soda
A homeless ex-con grabbed a counter worker at a McDonald's in Englewood around the neck when she wouldn't give him a free soda, authorities said.
Walter Alston, 33, walked behind the counter of the West Palisade Avenue fast-food joint and demanded the drink, then assaulted the mid-30s employee when she refused, poured one for himself and left, Police Lt. Fred Pulice said.
The employee wasn't seriously injured, he said.
