Stolen Car Stopped By Paterson Detectives Produces Two Guns, Three Arrests
Paterson detectives nabbed three armed men in a car reported stolen out of Clifton, authorities said.
Detectives Suquan Gary, Levis Qirjako and Luis Roca spotted the 2019 Toyota Corolla -- which had been stolen the day before -- stopped at a light at the corner of Bridge Street and Memorial Drive, city Public Safety Director Jerry Speziale said.
They "quickly positioned their unmarked vehicle, exited it, and approached" the Corolla, the director said.

Boy, 14, Caught Packing Handgun, Paterson PD Says
A 14-year-old boy shoved a 9mm handgun into his waistband seconds before he was seized by Paterson detectives outside a neighborhood liquor store, authorities said.
The boy was among a dozen or so people " blocking the business entrance, playing loud music, and consuming alcoholic beverages" in the middle of the 100 block of North Main Street, Public Safety Director Jerry Speziale said.
Detectives Yamil Pimienta, John Traynor, Mohamed Bashir and Levis Qirjako approached to break up the group when they saw the boy trying to hide the gun and immediately took him into custody, Speziale said.

Paterson Detectives Approach Rowdy Street Crowds, Nab Fleeing Suspects Carrying Loaded Guns
Paterson police seized a pair of loaded guns while breaking up unruly weekend crowds, authorities said.
People in one group were drinking, playing loud music and blocking the roadway at Main and Weis streets shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday, Public Safety Director Jerry Speziale said.
As Detectives Levis Qirjako, Mustafa Dombayci, John Traynor, Mohammed Bashir and Luis Pimienta pulled up to disperse the crowd, Faquir Melton took off on foot, Speziale said.

Paterson detectives chased down a Newark man after they found him standing on a city street corner with a loaded gun, authorities said.
Alexis DeLaRosa, 18, was in a group hanging at the corner of North 6th and Clinton streets when Detectives Mustafa Dombayci and John Traynor spotted the gun's magazine sticking out of a fanny pack around his neck, Public Safety Director Jerry Speziale said.
