Leonia PD: Officer Recognizes Burglar Caught On Video, Arrest Made At Probation Office
A Leonia police officer investigating a burglary at the borough recreation center recognized the culprit on surveillance video, leading to his arrest a short time later, authorities said. Tyquan Foster, 23, was wearing the same clothing when Detective Michael Jennings, Detective Sgt. Chris Garris and Capt. Manhattan IT Company Owner From Leonia Charged With Raping Palisades Park Woman
The Leonia owner of a midtown Manhattan IT company was charged with raping an incapacitated woman from Palisades Park. Euiseok Lee, 51, sexually assaulted the woman, who physically unable to prevent the attack, in the early morning hours Monday, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo said. Moonachie Teen Sexually Assaulted By Paterson Man, 22, Authorities Charge
An underage Moonachie teen was sexually assaulted by a Paterson man, said authorities who arrested him. Nathan Santana, 22, remained held Thursday in the Bergen County Jail after a judge refused to release him during a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack on Monday following his arrest six days earlier. Leonia Driver, 85, Slams Sedan Into Englewood 7-Eleven
An 85-year-old driver from Leonia lost control of her car, which plowed into an Englewood 7-Eleven Monday afternoon, authorities said. A North Jersey convenience store was one of two retailers that sold a third-tier prizewinning New Jersey Lottery ticket from the Dec. 4 drawing. The winning numbers were 28, 31, 41, 42 and 50. The Gold Mega Ball was 04 and the Megaplier Multiplier was 03. The ticket was sold at Leonia News and Stationery on Broad Street in Leonia, taking home the $10,000 prize. A 30-year-old man from Leonia was arrested in connection with a recent hit-and-run that sent an Englewood teen tumbling over the hood of his car, authorities said.
