Water Main Break Opens Gaping Hole Off Route 208
A water main break Friday afternoon closed the entrance and exit ramps at a Route 208 interchange in Fair Lawn. The ramps along northbound Route 208 at Berdan Avenue off Plaza Road were affected after the road buckled under the water pressure, leaving a gaping hole, shortly after lunchtime Sept. 8. No vehicle damage or incidents were reported as a result. However, many residents reported brown water coming out of their taps. UPDATE: The southbound New York State Thruway was entirely reopened by 7 p.m. Thursday following repairs to a severely damaged overpass. An overheight hollow steel tower being transported on a trailer struck and severely damaged the South Broadway bridge in Orangetown at 6:45 a.m. Aug. 31, according to New York State Police. NJ Man's Body Recovered From Wreckage Of Collapsed I-95 Bridge In Philly: Report
A body was removed from the wreckage on I-95 in Northeast Philadelphia on Monday, state officials confirmed to Daily Voice. Citing family members, 6abc has identified the victim as truck driver Nathanial Moody, reportedly employed by TK Transport in Pennsauken, New Jersey. Original story: A re-routed double-decker train downed wires closing an intersection in Rochelle Park for several hours, authorities said.
