A North Jersey man has been accused of stealing more than $30,000 from a local little league over the course of several years while acting as its treasurer, authorities said. Daniel Raczynski, 40, was serving as the Florham Park Little League Treasurer when he stole the funds from its checking and savings accounts between October 2019 and January 2022, Florham Park Police Chief Joseph Orlando said in a release on Wednesday, May 18. Fire crews in Morris County rushed to douse a three-car blaze that nearly spread to a fourth vehicle Tuesday evening. The fire broke out off of North Passaic Avenue in Chatham shortly before 5:30 p.m., according to the Florham Park Police Department and Office of Emergency Management. Chatham and Florham Park fire departments arrived at the scene and confirmed that the blaze had spread to two adjacent cars. Report: Morris County Native Samantha Racz, 21, Dies In Florham Park Crash
A recent news report has identified a 21-year-old Morris County native as the victim of a Florham Park weekend crash. Whippany Park graduate and University of Delaware student Samantha Racz died in the Columbia Turnpike crash on Jan. 16, MorrisFocus reports. The two-car crash occurred on the 300 block of Columbia Turnpike, around 11:25 p.m., Florham Park police said. Racz graduated from Whippany Park High School in 2018 and was a junior majoring in graphic design with a communications minor at the University of Delaware in Newark, her obituary says. A Closter resident had just received a notification that FedEx had delivered five iPhones when a thief dashed up, snatched the package from his porch and ran, authorities said. An Essex County man on Friday admitted to a bank robbery spree across New York and New Jersey. A group of people posing as contractors approached a North Jersey home and tried scamming the owners out of money, prompting local police to issue a warning.
