Prosecutor: 12-Year-Old Boy Struck, Killed By Bergen Sheriff On Route 208 In Fair Lawn A 12-year-old boy was fatally struck by a Bergen County Sheriff's Officer on Route 208 in Fair Lawn Sunday night, authorities said. The officer was traveling southbound in the left lane on routine patrol when he struck the boy, attempting to cross the highway divider with several other juveniles near the Fair Lawn Avenue exit ramp at 9:08 p.m. Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo said. The officer was taken taken to Hackensack University Medical Center, where he was treated and released, the prosecutor said. Pedestrian, 69, Struck In Fair Lawn A 69-year-old pedestrian struck by a car Thursday night in Fair Lawn was hospitalized with injuries that police said didn't appear life-threatening. The Glen Rock woman was being treated for head and hip injuries after being struck by a 2015 Nissan Rogue while crossing Fair Lawn Avenue near River Road between parked cars just after 5 p.m., Sgt. Brian Metzler said. She was taken to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center by a Paterson ambulance, he said. The 59-year-old female SUV driver from Belleville remained at the scene, the sergeant said.  Police were investigating.

Borough detectives went undercover after residents complained about “improper activity” at the massage parlors, Sgt. Brian Metzler said. They arrested 48-year-old Xiezhen Lin of Queens at Eva’s Spa and Chen Fengxia, 53, at Unique Massage, both on Fair Lawn Avenue, and 50-year-old Huazi Cui of Leonia at Good Time Spa on River Road, Metzler said. Both vehicles were coming from opposite directions on Fair Lawn Avenue when the 19-year-old BMW 5 series driver – also from Fair Lawn – tried making a left onto southbound Plaza Road around 10:15 p.m. Friday, Sgt.
