Stew Leonard's has announced the opening date for its food and wine store in Passaic County. The Stew Leonard's Farm Fresh Food and Wine store will be opening on Friday, May 17 in Clifton's Styertowne Shopping Center at 467 Allwood Road. The 56,000 square foot grocery and wine store is the second of its kind in New Jersey and will feature more than a dozen local vendors from dozens of Garden State farms. Demolition Of Nabisco Site Resuming Year After Postponement
Almost a year after it was called of amid public outcry, plans to demolish the shuttered Nabisco factory in Fair Lawn have once again been finalized. "Demolition at the Nabisco site is expected to resume shortly, with state approval. A non-explosive demolition will be undertaken," said a post on the borough's website on Monday, April 22. No other details were provided. Last May, Greek Development, which is redeveloping the property, announced the building will not be imploded and they would use an alternative method. According to Paramus Mayor Chris DiPiazza, the Chick-fil-A being built alongside the northbound side of Route 17 will open in the first week of May. A new $200 million health and wellness center is hours away from breaking ground at none other than a NJ Transit station. More than 100 employees of New Jersey's largest health care system were fired for refusing to comply with its COVID vaccination policy, officials said.
