Closter PD: Trio Who Tossed Trash Caught With Bogus Credit Cards, Pot, $17,000 Illegal Proceeds
Two Brooklyn men and a juvenile who tossed trash from their car while parked at a Closter shopping center had bogus credit cards, pot and $17,000 in suspicious cash on them, authorities said.
Police seized the cards, drugs and cash and took Sayquan Jackson and Ryan Westbook, both 18, and the 17-year-old minor into custody after being called to the Closter Plaza last Tuesday, Detective Lt. Vincent Aiello said.

Paterson police working a "hotspot" detail in a crime-ridden neighborhood seized a high-powered handgun favored by criminals after catching an Irvington man with a half-pound of pot, authorities said Wednesday.
Detectives Mustafa Dombayci, Mohammad Bashir, and Yamil Pimienta spotted Devon Williams, 21, putting a clear plastic bag of the drug inside another bag on East 29th Street near 17th Avenue around 8 p.m. Tuesday, Police Director Jerry Speziale said.

A Hackensack driver carrying a variety of illegal drugs raced along Route 17, cutting across three lanes several times, before surrendering to a pursuing Carlstadt police officer in Moonachie, authorities said.
Officer Matthew Bartlett tried pulling over the Honda Civic after driver Shavar Ingram, 34, improperly passed two vehicles and made an illegal left turn onto Paterson Avenue from Enoch Street, Police Chief Thomas Berta said.

Elmwood Park police avoided a potentially fatal confrontation when they seized a fully-loaded stolen gun from a Paterson man, authorities said Saturday.
Officer Nick Dimovski alerted fellow Officer Christopher Miranda that passenger Davon Chitty, 35, had pulled the gun from his waistband and put it in the center console during a traffic stop at Stefanic Avenue and Mola Boulevard around 10:30 p.m. Friday, Police Chief Michael Foligno said.
