UPDATE: Police were justified in killing an armed ex-con wanted for shooting a New Milford woman in Elmwood Park, a grand jury has found. James Allandale, 61, immediately opened fire on officers who found him at the Knights Inn Pinebook on Route 46 in Montville this past New Year's Eve. He was shot and killed in the exchange of gunfire. Nearly 3.5 Pounds Of Meth And Narcotics Seized, 2 Charged In North Jersey Bust
Just under three and a half pounds of methamphetamine and narcotics were seized and two residents hit with a slew of charges in a major North Jersey drug bust, authorities said. A package addressed to a hotel in Hanover Township on Nov. 24 was found to contain about 500 grams of methamphetamine, Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll said in a Thursday release. : Rockaway Man With 3 Warrants Nabbed After Denville Train Station Fight
A Rockaway man with three outstanding warrants was arrested after getting into an argument at the Denville train station, said authorities who charged him. James Souto, 38, was denied a ride home from another commuter when the fight broke out around 2:20 a.m. Wednesday, Denville Police Capt. Jeffrey Tucker said. Souto's three warrants were out of Cliffside Park, New Brunswick and the Middlesex County Sheriff's Office, Tucker said. He was taken to Denville police headquarters for processing before being turned over to the Middlesex County Sheriff's Office.
