Beloved Parsippany software engineer Willian Hua died at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville on Jan. 9 after a brief illness at the age of 28. Born in Livingston, Hua grew up in Lake Hiawatha and graduated from Parsippany High School in 2011, his obituary says. Hua later attended the College of New Jersey, where he earned a Bachelor’s in computer science, according to his memorial. Beloved North Jersey elementary teacher Anna Francesca "Frankie" Reganato died June 2 after a valiant three-year battle with lymphoma. She was 37. Born in Pequannock Township, Reganato was a longtime resident of Ramsey, where she attended high school and participated in varsity track and cross-country, her obituary says. Several schools and universities have cancelled classes in an effort to plan ahead and prevent the spread of coronavirus in New Jersey (scroll for complete list). As of Thursday, there were 29 presumed positive cases in New Jersey, including a 16- and- 17-year-old. Student Charged With Homicide After Stabbing Roommate
A College of New Jersey student was on a leave of absence when he stabbed his roommate during an off-campus fight over the weekend in what police are calling an attempted homicide. Joseph T. Walsh, 21 of Hazlet, was charged with unlawful weapon possession, terroristic threats, aggravated assault and more following last Sunday morning's incident in Ewing, Chief John P. Stemler III said.
