Franklin Lakes Driver, 87, Hits Fort Lee Women — One Of Them 77 — In Wyckoff
UPDATE: An SUV driven by an 87-year-old Franklin Lakes motorist struck two women from Fort Lee as they crossed a Wyckoff street, sending both to the hospital, authorities said.
The older pedestrian, 77, suffered "serious but non-life-threatening injuries to her upper body" after they were struck by a 2010 Chevy at the intersection of Wyckoff and Cedar Hill avenues around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 13, Lt. Joseph Soto said.
The other woman, 42, sustained head and face injuries, he said.

Wyckoff PD: Drunk Driver, 21, Goes Wrong Way On Route 208, Crashes Into Tree
A wrong-way driver was drunk when she slammed her car into a tree on Route 208, Wyckoff police said.
Rachel M. Rogers, 21, of Hawthorne drove her 2005 Honda Civic northbound in the southbound lanes after getting on at Cedar Hill Avenue just before midnight Tuesday, Lt. Charles Van Dyk said.
After going a short distance, the Civic hit the tree, he said.
"We're just fortunate that she didn't hit anyone head on," the lieutenant said.
Rogers was taken by the Wyckoff Ambulance Corps to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood with minor injuries.
Police charged her with DWI and reckless driving.
Wyckoff PD: DWI Driver Misses Exit, Slams Into Car Entering Route 208
WYCKOFF, N.J. – A driver whose car barreled across a Route 208 exit ramp in Wyckoff and struck another car heading onto the highway was arrested on DWI and assault-by-auto charges, authorities said.
Jeffrey C. Villarreal, 55, of Hawthorne was taken into custody after the March 28 crash at the Cedar Hill Avenue interchange, Lt. Joseph Soto said.
Villarreall was speeding south on the highway when he tried to take the exit and lost control of the car, which left the roadway, crossed the grass median and hit the other vehicle, severely damaging both, the lieutenant said.
