Newark Archdiocese Cemeteries Reopening Mother's Day For Limited Burials, Visitation Gov. Phil Murphy's extension of the 30-day coronavirus state of emergency in New Jersey won't affect plans for Catholic cemeteries in Bergen, Hudson, Essex and Union counties to reopen for limited burials and visitation beginning on Mother's Day. Beginning this coming Monday, up to 10 family members will be permitted to attend a burial service (it's currently only two), the Archdiocese of Newark said. None family members cannot attend, the archdiocese added.
