Severe Thunderstorm Watch In Effect For Much Of Region A cold front moving across the region is being accompanied by a rapidly moving line of showers and isolated thunderstorms, some of which are expected to be severe, with damaging winds that could cause power outages. The time frame for storm activity from the system moving from west to east is from around 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13, according to the National Weather Service. So Much For Snow: Expert Expects Rain, Rain And More Rain Snow lovers “were likely looking out the window and counting the flakes" Monday morning, meteorologist Joe Cioffi. All melted quickly in most areas, except in higher elevations to the northwest, he said.
