Abused, Neglected Dog Found In Fetid Basement Cage, Three Teaneck Family Members Charged A 68-year-old Teaneck woman and two adult family members were arrested after police said they found an abused and neglected dog who could barely stand inside a metal crate caked with urine and feces in their basement. Robert Claire, Christopher Claire, and Yvonne Claire were all charged with animal cruelty after a tipster led police to the Hamilton Road home, Teaneck Police Chief Andrew R. McGurr said. 21 Cats, Two Dogs Found Neglected In Fair Lawn Woman's Home, Authorities Say Animal control officers removed 21 cats and two dogs who authorities said were being neglected by a Fair Lawn woman. Julie Alaimo, 37, was charged with nearly two dozen counts of animal cruelty, Fair Lawn Police Sgt. Brian Metzler said. Police found the animals at Alaimo’s home on 30th Street near Raphael Street following a complaint last Tuesday, Nov. 8, Metzler said. Officers with Bergen County Animal Control were summoned and borough police Lt. James Krizek investigated, the sergeant said. Alaimo must answer the summonses in court.

Fair Lawn PD: Dealer Nabbed In Raid Had Drugs, $47,000 Cash, 11 Mistreated Dogs, 3 Kids In Home Fair Lawn police reported finding three children and 11 mistreated dogs in the home of a local man who they said had nearly a pound combined of heroin and cocaine, along with packaging materials and $47,000 in drug cash. Marquan Carter, 34, had the drugs and money stashed on throughout the house, in his 2016 Honda Pilot and on him when police raided his Morlot Avenue home last week, Sgt. Brian Metzler said Monday. “Eleven dogs, some who appeared malnourished, were found in cages inside the residence, along with two treadmills with harnesses for dogs,” Metzler said. “The animals were removed…

Raccoon Rampage: Animal Attacks Maywood Residents A raccoon who attacked several Maywood pedestrians was captured Thursday, local police said. The animal bit an 82-year-old man sitting on a lawn chair on his arm, finger and leg around 1:30 p.m., ABC7 reports. Children and adults in their backyard were chased by the crazed animal, before it jumped onto the back of a 72-year-old man doing yard work. He was left with cuts on his back.
