Just after midnight on June 15, the bandit threw a concrete block through the front glass door of the Market Street convenience store, grabbed the cash register and several cartons of cigarettes and ran out to a dark-colored vehicle, Lt. John Zotollo told CLIFFVIEW PILOT this afternoon.
He then went back inside and filled a medium-sized trash can from behind the counter with additional cigarettes, rolled coins and other items, Zotollo said.

The burglar returned at 5:15 a.m. on July 5 and smashed the same door with a brick before climbing through and taking cartons of Newports and cash, the lieutenant said.
He described him as white, about 5-foot-10 to 6 feet tall, with dark hair and a “larger than average” nose.
The burglary wore a grey hoodie, grey sweatpants and grey/black sneakers, as well as yellow working gloves with red bands, in the June break-in, Zotollo said.
His outfit in the burglary nine days ago included a black hoodie, a black-and-red-checked jacket, blue jeans, black sneakers and white gloves, he said.
