PHOTOS: A driverless car rolled from a Saddle Brook repair shop, causing a four-vehicle crash this afternoon with one reported minor injury.

The incident occurred on westbound Route 46 after the 2013 Buick LaCrosse rolled down a short incline from Headmaster Auto Repair when the mechanic working on it turned his head for a moment around 2:30 p.m., Police Chief Robert Kugler told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

After hitting the median, the sedan was struck by an NJ Transit jitney bus that had only the female driver aboard, Kugler said.

Another LaCrosse hit the sedan and was in turn hit by a Toyota minivan with two occupants, the chief said. One complained of back pain but said he’d seek medical treatment on his own, he said.

Police moved the jitney bus off the highway so emergency vehicles could get in.
