Three promoted, four sworn by Bergen sheriff

SHOUT OUTS: Bergen County Sheriff Michael Saudino promoted three officers and swore in four new ones today.

New Lt. Eugene Alexander and Sgt. Betsy Chery and David Rubano were promoted and Corrections Officers Michael Andreano, Amanda Kern, Stephanie Lignal and Matthew Strauss were sworn in.

Alexander joined the department in 2003 and was promoted to sergeant in 2008. Rubano joined in 2005 and Chery a year later.

“The proud tradition of the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office will continue with the new leadership and addition of qualified individuals.” Saudino said.
