Saddle Brook Police Department Seeks Officers To Fill Its Ranks

SADDLE BROOK, N.J. – The Saddle Brook Police Department is looking for candidates to fill entry level police officer positions.

The officers would fall under the Civil Service Commission (CSC) jurisdiction so eligible candidates must be:

  • Listed/ranked on the certification of the current NJ CSC eligibility list entry level exam
  • Currently employed as an active PTC certified police officer with a NJ CSC jurisdiction and be approved for appointment via the Intergovernmental Transfer Program, OR
  • Currently listed on the statewide law enforcement eligible list (RICE List) as a laid-off police officer.

There are currently 26 active officers in the Saddle Brook Police Department. In addition to the full time officers, the department also includes nine Class 1b Special Police officers, who are unarmed, two civilian dispatchers and a civilian records clerk. The police department also supervises the school crossing guards.
