Oscar Rincon Jr. left his home around 5 o’clock last night after an argrument, Elmwood Park Police Chief Michael Foligno said.
Authorities issued a missing persons alert after he’d been missing more than 24 hours.
The family of a friend who he’d gone to stay with in Garfield then saw a report about his disappearance and contacted Elmwood Park police, the chief said.
When the boy returned to the residence, Garfield police grabbed him, he said.
“He’s back safe and sound,” Foligno said.
