Route 80 Wrong-Way Driver From Paterson Kills NY Man In Saddle Brook

SADDLE BROOK, NJ -- A pickup truck driven the wrong way by a Paterson man slammed into a sedan on Route 80 in Saddle Brook overnight Saturday, killing the driver, authorities said.

Mario Funes, 32, was initially charged with DWI, with more serious criminal charges to follow, New Jersey State Police said Saturday.

Funes was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with what responders called minor injuries.

Killed in the 1:24 a.m crash was 64-year-old Luis Feliz of Yonkers, who was driving eastbound in a Camry.
