Whoever was responsible burglarized the North Boulevard home sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning by removing plywood to a door opening, Police Chief Robert Kugler said.

DeWalt power drills, a skill saw and a grinder worth more than $1,000 combined were taken, he said.

It's possible the thief or thieves "could be associated with other recent break-ins, including residential homes on Ash Avenue and Evans Place, as well as a shed in a yard of a home on Hillside Avenue, which all occurred within the last two weeks," the chief said.

"We have our hunches on who or the type of person that may be responsible for these break-Ins and thefts," Kugler said. "It is most likely motivated by needing fast cash to satisfy a drug dependency."

The chief reminded all residents to always lock their doors and remain watchful for suspicious activity in their neighborhoods.
