Photo: Gunman Takes $700 From Elmwood Park Gas Station Attendant

ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. (UPDATE) -- Elmwood Park police Friday afternoon released a surveillance photo of a robber who they said followed a gas station attendant into the office, pulled a gun and fled with $700.

Police said the robber followed the attendant, then pulled a big black gun.

The robber hit the Delta station on River Drive just after 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Police Chief Michael Foligno said.

He was described as white, about 5-foot-10 and wearing a black North Face hooded sweatshirt, black skull cap and dark pants with green lettering.

A Bergen County Sheriff's K-9 Unit dog tracked a scent up Willow Street and through several yards into Fair Lawn, the chief said.

Anyone with information that could help the investigation is asked to contact Elmwood Park police at (201) 796-0700. Callers may remain anonymous, Foligno said.
