Officers Joseph Scrafani, Peter Romero and Timothy Parisi will begin work with field officers.
“I know each of these individuals, as well as their families, and know them to be dedicated to serving the town they grew up,” Mayor Robert White said.
“I look forward to their sincere commitment and desire to serve the community and general public,” Police Chief Robert Kugler said.
All three officers attended Saddle Brook High School and Bergen Community College.
Joseph Scrafani, served in the U.S. Army, was in Iraq from 2009-2010, received a host of commendations and was honorably discharged in 2011 as a sergeant.
He most recently was a corrections officer with the NJ Department of Corrections assigned to Trenton State Prison and attended basic training at the State Police Sea Girt facility last year.
Peter Romero earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from William Paterson University. He recently worked as a sales representative for Paycheck Inc. and was a GNC store manager and substitute teacher in the Saddle Brook school district.
Timothy Parisi earned a Bachelor of Science degree in physical education and health from William Paterson University. He recently was a physical education teacher at Helen I. Smith Public Elementary School and SBHS football and track coach.
