Nicholas Enea was alone in his northbound 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe when it crashed on Boulevard near the intersection of Franklin Street at 5 p.m., Police Chief Michael Foligno told Daily Voice.

The vehicle had "gradually crossed over the centerline of the roadway, through the oncoming south bound lane, mounted the curb and struck the tree," the chief said.

"Witness testimony and officers’ investigation suggests that the victim suffered some sort of medical episode prior to the crash," he said.

Enea had been a sales manager for a company that sells and maintains diesel and alternative fuel engines, transmissions, power generation systems and various related products, components, parts and accessories.
