Borough police turned Erick Tschaikowsky over to the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office after charging him in connection with pair of packages thefts — Nov. 30 on Parkview Avenue and again Wednesday on Rosemont Avenue.

Surveillance video from the first theft showed Tschaikowsky riding a bicycle carrying stolen packages, Police Chief Michael Foligno told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

Officer Keith Hartmann arrested him on Thursday after the first victim saw Tschaikowsky in her neighborhood and called police, the chief said.

He remained held in the county jail this morning, charged with two counts of theft.
