Authorities are hoping the public can help find the robber who held up Mamma Mia Pizzeria on Lanza Avenue around 8:45 p.m.

He was described as black, about 5-foot-10, with a thin build and wearing a black shirt and pants, Capt. Darren Sucorowski said early this afternoon.

Garfifeld police were joined in a perimeter search by the Bergen County Police, the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office K9 unit and their collegues from Elmwood Park and Saddle Brook, Sucorowski said.

The sheriff’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation collected evidence.

Anyone who saw or knows something that could help investigators solve the robbery is asked to call Garfield police: (973) 478- 8500.
