The woman was coming from the Saddle Brook Center when she apparently crossed against the red light, made it across the westbound lanes and was struck by an eastbound vehicle around 1 a.m., Police Chief Robert Kugler said.

She was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead hours later, he said.

No summonses were issued against the male Clifton driver, the chief said.

The Bergen County Sheriff's Bureau of Criminal Identification collected evidence, he said.
