The pump jockey at the Sunoco on River Drive told responding officers he'd closed the station for the night and was walking to his car when the pair came up, pointed the guns at him and demanded money, Chief Michael Foligno told Daily Voice.
They then fled south on River Drive toward Market Street with an undetermined amount of cash, the attendant said.
A Bergen County sheriff's K-9 unit responded to assist with a search with negative results, Foligno said, adding that the attendant wasn't harmed.
