Plainclothes Port Authority detectives grabbed Cookie Love, 48, as she stood in front of the Eighth Avenue entrance to terminal holding two crack pipes with residue just before 8:30 p.m., the authority’s Joseph Pentangelo told CLIFFVIEW PILOT this morning.

She was charged with drug possession and parole warrants out of New York State.

While arresting Love, officers spotted another woman holding what turned out to be synthetic cannaboid, Pentangelo said.

Abigail Graham, 33, was charged with a single drug possession count.

The officers said they then spotted a third woman, 34-year-old Michelle McKelley, standing nearby with an open bottle of Pinnacle vodka.

The 5-foot-8-inch, 230-pound McKelley struggled as they took her into custody, digging her nails into an officer’s arm and gouging his wrist, Pentangelo said.

She was charged with assault and resisting arrest, in addition to having an open alcohol container.

McKelley has 65 prior arrests and Love 32 — along with an active warrant out of Essex County — records show.

Pentangelo called all three women “Port Authority Bus Terminal recidivists.”
