After the friend pulled into the lot and ran inside for help Tuesday afternoon, a dispatcher alerted Officer Randy Gawrylo, who Police Chief Michael Foligno said was completing a report in another matter.

Gawrylo "found the 30-year-old victim from Hasbrouck Heights in the vehicle, unresponsive and experiencing very shallow breathing," Foligno told Daily Voice.

The officer administered Narcan, which revived him, the chief said.

The victim was taken to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center, he said.
