Elmwood Park police find 80 used heroin bags in separate arrests

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: Elmwood Park police charged three people who they said had 80 bags of used heroin among them, as well as 15 bags that hadn’t yet been used, in a pair of separate arrests yesterday.

They also arrested a fourth suspect on pot possession charges.

Officers at 3:45 p.m. arrested Nicole Juliano, 39, of Saddle Brook, and 34-year-old Matthew Ryan of Oceanside, Queens at Broadway and East 55th Street for possession of eight bags of heroin, possession of 30 used bags and several hypodermic syringes, Police Chief Michael Foligno said this morning.

At 11 p.m., they arrested Robert Russo, 20, of Saddle Brook in the parking lot of the Broadway Pathmark for possession of ¼ ounce of marijuana.

Less than a half-hour later, they arrested Julie Antonio, 24, of Springfield on East 53rd Street for possession of seven bags of heroin and 50 used bags, as well as several hypdermic needles.

All four were processed and released on court summonses.
