Elmwood Park Pedestrian Struck, Hospitalized

ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. -- A pedestrian was hospitalized with fractures to her skull, face and neck and a large gash on her head that required stitches after she was struck Monday night in Elmwood Park, authorities confirmed.

The driver kept going for two blocks after the woman was struck just before 6:30 p.m. at Boulevard and Hillman but then returned after realizing what happened, a family member said.

Detectives were still investigating, Police Chief Michael Foligno told Daily Voice.
