Troy Saucier, 24, of Suffern was being held on $100,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail after last night's crash just after 6:40 p.m. Besides the homicide charge, he faces various drug counts.

He was also issued summonses for reckless driving and driving while under the influence of drugs. An arraignment was scheduled for Tuesday.

The victim, Rasim Hida, was walking in front of the Walgreens on Broadway when Saucier's car struck him, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said.

Hida was taken to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, Molinelli said.

Police found Saucier unresponsive in the vehicle, he said.

The prosecutor's Fatal Accident Investigation Unit (FAIU) and Elmwood Park investigated.
