The Donor Avenue victim told police the robber had his hand in his pocket as if he was carrying a weapon and struck him in the face several times.
He declined medical treatment for his injuries.
A Bergen County K-9 Unit was dispatched to the scene — a few blocks from Route 4, Boulevard and River Drive, in the hopes of tracking down the robber.
The initial description of the assailant was a black man wearing a black hoodie and black sweatpants.
