Elmwood Park bank robbed

A slim, 6-foot robber in sunglasses and a red hoodie made off with an undetermined amount of cash after passing a note to a teller an Elmwood Park bank.

The 3 p.m. holdup occurred at the TD Bank on Midland Avenue and Market Street, Detective Lt. Bryan DiPasquale told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

Police said they believe the robber fled on foot, he said. A K9 unit from the Bergen County Police Department was brought in to search the area, without luck.

Elmwood Park detectives are working with the FBI and the Bergen County Sheriff’s Bureau of Criminal Identification, which was collecting evidence this afternoon.
