YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A man was struck and killed by an NJ Transit train in Saddle Brook just before 4 Wednesday afternoon.
NJ Transit said the man was standing in front of the Hoboken-bound passenger train on Track No. 2 when he was struck and killed around 10 minutes to four.
Delays on the Bergen Line ranged from 45 minutes to an hour up to just after 5:30.
NJ Transit police and detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Fatal Accident team investigated.
The incident occurred near the Midland Avenue where the line crosses beneath Route 46.
